fittings limit straight stitching to central needle posi
tion only. Set bight control at ''0” and stitch levers in
"down” position.

To lock bight lever T for straight
stitching bring "0” mark W
opposite indicator V, loosen

SCREW X, then retighten. Loosen
and move intermediate bight
regulator screw U until it en
gages the notch, then retighten.
ZIGZAG STITCHING must be done with the all
purpose throat plate, Fig. 48, and the all-purpose
presser foot, Fig. 49, or any of the special feet which
nave a wide opening to accommodate the sideward
movement of the needle. Lever A is lifted for zigzag
stitching and the bight lever is set at 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5
depending upon the width of stitch desired. Needle
position of right, left or central may be used.
Straight stitching can also be done with this all
purpose equipment.

Levers B, C, D, E or any of the added FASHION Discs
may be used. In addition combinations of levers may
be used to produce an unlimited variety of com
bination stitches.
