Electrical Requirements


If your RapidVap is a Vacuum model, a dedicated
electrical outlet is required. This outlet requires a 20
Amp circuit breaker or fuse for models rated at 115V
(60 Hz). A 10 Amp circuit breaker or fuse is required
for models rated at 230V (50/60 Hz). 115V models are
equipped with a 20 Amp NEMA 5-20P plug. 230V
models are equipped with a 16 Amp CEE 7/7 plug. It
may be necessary to remove the plug and install a
different plug to match the available receptacle.

If your RapidVap is a Nitrogen model, a dedicated
electrical outlet is required. This outlet requires a 15
Amp circuit breaker or fuse for models rated at 115V
(60 Hz) or an 8 Amp circuit breaker or fuse is required
for 230V (50/60 Hz) models. 115V models are
equipped with a 20 Amp NEMA 5-20P plug. 230V
models are equipped with a 16 Amp CEE 7/7 plug. It
may be necessary to remove the plug and install a
different plug to match the available receptacle.

Location and Exhaust
Requirements


The RapidVap Vacuum Evaporation System should be
located within a fume hood if hazardous or flammable
solvents are used. In all cases, regardless of the solvent
used, it is strongly recommended that the vacuum pump
is located and vented in a fume hood.
