Troubleshooting

LUNGS

Problem

• Lungs not functioning properly

Possible Solution

• Check that the Airway resistance is not set to maximum in

the Instructor Application.

• Open the torso and chest plate. Check that the lungs are

free to expand and are not restricted by any cables.

• Check that the lung bladders are properly connected, and

that the tubes are not twisted.

• Check that the lung bladders are in a horizontal position

and inserted correctly. Ensure that the lung compliance
O-rings lie between the folds of the lung bladders.

• Check for flaws or ruptures in the lung bladders.

• Check that the two lung compliance O-rings are fitted

correctly. Replace O-rings if they appear to be damaged.

• Check that there are no obstructions inside the manikin

airways which may block air flow.

• If there is no change when adjusting lung compliance,
