In

the

event

of

a

severe

mechanical

problem

with

the

library

or

if

circumstances

require

you

to

remove

tape

cartridges,

do

the

following.

If

the

Operator

Control

Panel

or

the

Web

User

Interface

is

still

operational:

1.

Move

the

tapes

from

the

drive(s)

to

the

magazines

using

the

Manage

Library

Move

Media

command

(Web

User

Interface)

or

Control

Move

Cartridges

command

(Operator

Control

Panel).

Note:

Contact

technical

support

if

a

cartridge

will

not

eject

from

the

drive.

2.

Use

the

magazine

removal

process

to

release

the

magazine

and

remove

it

from

the

library.

If

the

directions

in

steps

1

and

2

above

do

not

allow

you

to

remove

the

tapes,

do

the

following:

1.

Unplug

the

power

cord

from

the

library.

2.

Find

the

access

holes

for

the

right

and

left

magazines.
