Card Embossing
6 – Card Embossing
Cards can be ordered with embossed information such as the account number, card number,
and so on, to visibly identify the card. If embossed cards are not ordered, they will be shipped
with a temporary identification strip that indicates the card number.
On Mag Stripe cards, any area below one inch from the top of the card that encompasses the
mag stripe may be embossed.
An electric card embosser is available from Gasboy (P/N C02220). See the Operator's Guide
provided with the embosser, for proper use.
If you are having your cards encoded by Gasboy, you may also specify the information to be
embossed by filling in the EMBOSS FIELDS section on the Card Encoding Form.
