Introduction

Cards

Magnetic (Mag) Stripe

Gasboy CFN Series systems are available with a magnetic stripe (Mag Stripe, ABA Track II).
Mag Stripe cards are the most commonly used cards. They have information encoded on a
magnetic stripe at the back of the card. This manual covers Mag Stripe cards.

You must follow the instructions in this manual carefully, so that your encoded cards will
work correctly with your CFN system. If you need assistance, contact your local Gasboy
distributor or call the Gasboy toll-free number.

Size

Mag Cards used in the Gasboy CFN Series systems must have the following dimensions:
3-3/8" x 2-1/8" and a maximum thickness of 0.032".

Site Controller II/III Software Compatibility

Several card types defined in this manual will not work with all versions of the Site Controller
II/III software.

• If you are using a Site Controller II or III, the software must be provided with the Fleet

package, to be able to accept fuel delivery cards, supervisor cards, dipstick cards, totalizer
cards, fueler ID cards, and code cards.

• To be able to accept access cards, the Site Controller II or III software must be provided

with the Attendant Card Handler.

To determine if the Site Controller II or III has the Fleet package or Attendant Card Handler
software, sign on to the command terminal and provide a STATUS V command. Verify if the
word “fleet” and/or “Attendant” appears in the printout. If it does not, contact your Gasboy
representative.
