Top Cover Assembly

Remove the Stapling Unit Assembly (see Figure 6-91).

Open the Top Cover Assembly and remove the Back Plate (see Figure 6-92).

Unplug the ground and signal cables from the right side of the Stapling
Unit Controller board, being careful to keep them in the cable holder.

On each side of the assembly, pull the hinge to release the (2) posts from the
retaining notches (see Figure 6-97).
To Reinstall:
C a u t i o n
Keep the Top Cover Assembly open while reconnecting the cables. Cable
damage could occur the next time the cover is opened if the cables are
reinstalled too tightly.
