Installing/Removing a PoE module
Installing a PoE module
1. Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap, ensure a good skin contact and make sure that the
ESD-preventive wrist strap is correctly grounded.
2. Loosen the captive screws on the filler panel over the PoE module slot with a Phillips screwdriver
and remove the filler panel.
NOTE:
Put away the removed filler panel for future use.
3. Unpack the PoE module.
4. Push the PoE module slowly along the guide rails into the slot (see callout 1 in Figure 81 ) and push
the ejector levers inward to lock the PoE module in position (see callout 2 in Figure 81 ).
5. Fasten the captive screws on the PoE module with a Philips screwdriver to securely fix the PoE
module into the slot.

Removing the PoE module

2. Loosen the captive screws on the PoE module with the Philips screwdriver until all spring pressure
is released.
3. Pull the ejector levers outward (see callout 1 in Figure 82 ). Then pull out the PoE module slowly
along the guide rails (see callout 2 in Figure 82 ).
