Cleaning the air filter of a power module

To guarantee well ventilation of a power module, H3C recommends that you clear the air filter of the
power module monthly.
The NEPS1800-A power module does not have an air filter.
To clean the air filter of a power module:

1.

Using your thumb and index finger to hold the upper and lower edges of the air filter frame, gently
remove the air filter frame. Pull the black air filter out of the air filter frame.

Use clear water to gently wash the air filer (do not rub the air filter), and air-dry it.

Put the black air filter into the air filter frame. Using the thumb and index finger to hold the upper
and lower edges of the air filter frame, gently insert the air filter frame into the power module.

Replacing a card

Line processing units (LPUs) and main processing units (MPUs) for the SR8800 routers are hot-swappable.

Replacement procedures for these types of cards are similar. This section describes how to replace an
MPU.
