from the

ASSIGN AUDIO INPUTS

screen. The

ASSIGN DIGITAL

AUDIO INPUTS

screen appears, with the cursor blinking at

DVD.

Use the direction and enter keys to scroll through and select the digi-
tal device you want to configure, select the analog input, and choose
the default mode for the four digital signal sound formats:

DOLBY

DIGITAL 2.0, DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1, DTS 5.1,

and

PCM.

Each of these signals has

options under

DEFAULT MODE.

If a THX Surround EX or DTS ES encod-

ed disc is played, the Home Theater Standard 7.1 will automatically
select one of these modes.

The digital input must be set to

DISABLED

to use the analog input for the

main zone.

The digital input must be

DISABLED

to use preamp mode.

PREVIOUS

holds the last selected digital input.

When the device is configured, press the previous key twice to return
to the

CONFIGURE DEVICES

menu.

through options within a line.

4. Press enter to select and set

an option.

to the next line.
