PROCEDURE

1.

Remove the main input supply power to the
machine.

2.

Using the 5/16” nut driver, remove the case
top and sides.

3.

The fan blade can be removed using the
Allen head wrench.

NOTE:

You may need to loosen the

machine case back to gain clearance to
remove the fan. See Figure F.26.

4.

If the fan motor is to be removed, the leads
to the motor must be disconnected. This
will require cutting the wires or “breaking the
splice.”

5. Remove the four mounting nuts and associ-

ated flat and lock washers that hold the
motor to the mounting bracket. See Figure
F.26.

6. Carefully remove the fan motor.

7. To replace the fan motor, mount the motor to

its mounting bracket using the four nuts and
associated flat and lock washers.

8. Resplice any motor leads cut for removal.

Soldering the wires is recommended.

9. Reattach the fan blade, if it was removed

earlier, using the Allen head wrench to
tighten it to the motor shaft.

10. Install the case top and sides.
