CAUTIONS REGARDING
HANDLING
Location
Install the unit in a well-ventilated location where it will
not be exposed to high temperatures or humidity.
÷ Do not install the unit in a location which is exposed to
direct rays of the sun, or near stoves or radiators.
Excessive heat can adversely affect the cabinet and
internal components. Installation of the unit in a damp or
dusty environment may also result in a malfunction or
accident. (Avoid installation near cookers etc., where the
unit may be exposed to oily smoke, steam or heat.)
÷ When the unit is used inside a carrying case or DJ booth,
separate it from the walls or other equipment to improve
heat radiation.
Condensation
When this unit is brought into a warm room from previously
cold surroundings or when the room temperature rises
sharply, condensation may form inside, and the unit may not
be able to attain its full performance. In cases like this, allow
the unit to stand for about an hour or raise the room
temperature gradually.
Cleaning the Unit
÷ Use a polishing cloth to wipe off dust and dirt.
÷ When the surfaces are very dirty, wipe with a soft cloth
dipped in some neutral cleanser diluted five or six times
with water and wrung out well, then wipe again with a dry
cloth. Do not use furniture wax or cleaners.
÷ Never use thinners, benzene, insecticide sprays or other
chemicals on or near this unit, since these will corrode the
surfaces.
Installing the DJM-3000 in an EIA rack
The screw holes on the front panel of the DJM-3000 are
designed for use in attaching the unit to a 19-inch EIA rack.
÷ Attach the unit to the rack using screws of the appropriate
size (screws not provided with the unit).
Note
÷ Never place this unit directly above a power amplifier, as
the heat given off by the amplifier might result in damage
to the unit. Placing the unit directly above a power amplifier
might also result in ham radio signals being picked up or in
other types of interference.
÷ Always be sure to remove the unit from its rack before
shipping.
÷ When moving the unit while still installed in its rack,
exercise caution to avoid subjecting the unit to shocks or
vibration.
PRECAUCIONES PARA LA
MANIPULACIÓN
Situación
Instale la unidad en un lugar bien ventilado donde no quede
expuesta a altas temperaturas ni a humedad.
÷ No instale la unidad en lugares expuestos a los rayos directos
del sol, ni cerca de estufas o radiadores. El calor excesivo
puede afectar adversamente el exterior y los componentes
internos de la unidad. Su instalación en un lugar húmedo o
polvoriento también puede producir mal funcionamiento o un
accidente. (No la instale cerca de fogones, etc. donde pueda
quedar expuesta a humo de aceite, valor, o calor.)
÷ Cuando se emplea la unidad dentro de un estuche para el
transporte o de una cabina de DJ, sepárela de las paredes o de
otros equipos para mejorar la disipación del calor.
Condensación
Cuando se traslada la unidad desde un lugar frío a una sala
cálida, o cuando la temperatura de la sala aumenta rápidamente,
puede formarse condensación de humedad en el interior, y la
unidad puede resultar incapaz de funcionar como debiera. En
casos como éstos, deje la unidad sin desplazarla durante
aproximadamente una hora, o deje que la temperatura de la sala
suba gradualmente.
Limpieza de la unidad
÷ Emplee un paño de limpieza para sacar el polvo y la suciedad.
÷ Cuando las superficies estén muy sucias, frótelas con un paño
suave humedecido en una solución de detergente neutro
diluido en cinco o seis partes de agua, bien escurrido, y luego
frote de nuevo con un paño seco. No emplee ceras ni
limpiadores de muebles.
÷ No emplee nunca disolventes, bencina, pulverizadores de
insecticidas ni otros productos químicos sobre esta unidad ni
cerca de la misma, porque pueden causar corrosión en las
superficies.
Instalación de la DJM-3000 en un bastidor
EIA
Los orificios para tornillos del panel frontal de la DJM-3000
están diseñados para montar la unidad en un bastidor EIA de
19 pulgadas.
÷ Monte la unidad en el bastidor empleando unos tornillos
del tamaño apropiado (los tornillos no se suministran con la
unidad).
Notas:
÷ No ponga nunca esta unidad directamente encima de un
amplificador de potencia, porque el calor emitido por el
amplificador podría ocasionar daños en la unidad. Si se
pone la unidad directamente encima de un amplificador de
potencia, también es posible que se capten señales de
radio u otros tipos de interferencias.
÷ Antes de transportar la unidad, siempre deberá des-
montarla del bastidor.
÷ Cuando deba mover la unidad mientras está montada en el
bastidor, tenga mucho cuidado para que no reciba ningún
golpe ni quede sometida a vibraciones.
