Configuring BIOS Settings

You can configure BIOS settings during the boot process, as follows:
1. Interrupt the boot process to enter the BIOS interface (refer to
2.7.2 Accessing
BIOS Interface
).
The BIOS front page appears, as shown in
Figure 5-1
.
2. Select
BIOS Setup
and press Enter.
The BIOS Setup window appears, as shown in
Figure 5-5
.

3. Select the desired group of BIOS setup options from the following list and press
Enter
:
• General
Update the system date or system time, set Numlock on or off, or enable or disable
RTC synchronization.
• Partition
Configure options for the operating system boot process, memory properties,
processor core selections, and I/O properties (which includes the skip list).
• Advanced
Enable or disable processor settings.
