Inserting a disc

Turn on the CDR-201A.

Press the STANDBY/ON button.
The STANDBY indicator turns off.

Press the r button.

The disc tray opens. Place the disc with the
label-side up in the center of the tray.

Press the r button.

The disc tray closes.

The CDR-201A displays information of the
disc, including total recording number of
tracks and time, and remaining available
recording time. Displayed contents may vary
depending on the type of disc.
When unrecorded compact discs are
inserted, "Blank Disc" appears in the
display.

Memo:

• You can also press the n button (or the

remote controller s button) to close it.

• By pressing the r button (or the remote

controller r OPEN/CLOSE button) in the
standby state, the power is automatically
turned on. If used in a component system
with the R-801A, their power automatically
turns on as well.

When the disc is inserted, the CDR-201A
automatically scans the disc and displays the
type in the front display.
