1

Repeatedly press the INPUT button
and select the desired input signal.

Select "Digital In 1," "Digital In 2," or "Analog
In" for the input source.

When recording with portable MD players, or other
components that are not equipped with an z
connector, recording is started synchronous with the
input signal. (This is called signal synchronous
recording.)

Notes:
Note the following when using synchronous
recording for digital input sources.

• DATs cannot be recorded if no start ID is present

before audio contents.

• CD DUBBING uses a sub-code signal that is

contained in the digital output from most player
components, and therefore there may be some
CD players, MD recorders, or the like where
digital synchronous recording is impossible.

• If you are performing signal synchronous

recording of classical or other soft music using
the analog input, the recording may not start at
the proper time. If this is the case, start the
recording manually (see “Analog recording” on
page 26).

Preparation

• Turn on the CDR-201A (see page 20).
• Place a recordable CD-R or CD-RW in the CDR-

201A (see page 20).

• Verify that the input dial and recording selection

button of the amplifier are set to the position of
the recording source.

Proceed to step 6 if you do not wish to adjust
the recording level.

Proceed to step 3 if you do not wish to adjust
the recording level.
