Erasing entire disc

Insert the CD-RW to be erased.

Press the EDIT/NO button and turn the
MULTI JOG dial until "Disc Erase?"
appears.
Erasing recordings (CD-RW discs only)

Press the MULTI JOG dial.
Pressing the YES button provides the same
operation.
A display conforming the erase appears and
erasing begins.
The time remaining for the erase appears.

operation.
"Disc Ers ??" appears.

This process requires an amount of time equal to
about one half of the total recording time of the
disc.
The display of the remaining time is only a guide
and the actual time until the process is
completed may be a little before or after.
When the deletion is completed, the tray opens
automatically.
Stopping an erase
Press the e button for approx. 5 seconds.
However, within 2 minutes from the start of the
erase, the erase cannot be stopped. Once the DISC
indicator begins flashing, the erase can be stopped.
The recording will not properly be erased, so be sure
to perform the erase again.
