Using the center mounting hole shown on the previous page, and below, for the front rail mounting holes, drill an 1-

1/4”

hole through the truck bed.

2.

Let the pilot bit of the hole saw dimple the top of the truck frame. Check to be sure you are above the truck frame.
Check to see that the inside of the frame at this location is clear of any wiring or brake lines. Drill a 21/32” hole through
the top flange of the truck frame.

3.

Insert the long spacer(12), in the hole in the bed. Install the filler spacer(4) as shown in fig. 4 below. Install the short
spacer the(10) as shown below. Set the rail over the spacers and insert the long carriage bolt(9) through the holes.

4.

Install 5/8” serrated washers(13) and 5/8” nuts(14) on the bolts.

5.

Torque all ½” nuts to 75 ft-lb and all 5/8” nuts to 130 ft-lb.
