Service and Maintenance

9.1 Service and Maintenance

Please make sure that you read this chapter thoroughly. Proper handling and cleaning of
the HiClamp will ensure reliable and long life time of the equipment. Most often, troubles
are simply due to mishandling. See also chapter "Troubleshooting".

9.1.1

Cleaning of the Basket

The basket is the most delicate part of HiClamp. Work on the basket only when absolutely
necessary and with great care!
The following sequence is designed to allow cleaning of the
basket with a maximum of security.

1. Remove the electrodes as usual.

2. Lower the table (button down on the manual command).

3. Grab the basket holder on the side as shown on the picture.

4. Gently flush the basket with water without touching it.

5. Replace the basket in position.

Warning: If you noticed that the basket is not aligned or anything special,
you probably need to replace the basket.

9.1.2

Replacing or Realigning

If by accident the basket was damaged it is necessary to replace the basket. It is strongly
recommended not to attempt to repair the basket because both the wire position and
its shape are critical for the proper functioning of HiClamp.

As the basket is a critical part of HiClamp it was designed as an easily replaceable part
using the following procedure.

1. Remove the electrodes as usual.

2. Lower the table (button down on the manual command).

3. Grab the basket holder on the side as shown on the picture above

4. Replace with a the new basket

5. Align the basket if necessary.
