Setting Security
IntelliTrack Stockroom contains a built-in security feature that allows you
to control what functions each user may use. This security is “function
based” security because it controls the user’s access to a specific system
function. To use system security, you need to configure the security func-
tion level; then add users, assign a user security access level to each user,
and activate security.
Security
Privileges User access to certain areas of the application are determined by the user
access level:
• Security options in the ribbon
• Tools options in the ribbon
• CE Portable options in the ribbon
• Stock options in the ribbon
• Import/Export options in the ribbon
• Inventory Command Set options in the ribbon

“Assigning Security Privileges to System Areas” on page 65 .
System Users System users are added by the Administrator. Each user is assigned an
access level, which grants or denies the user access to security privileges.

taining System Users” on page 67 .
Important: To define or modify security rights you must have Administra-
tor access to the application.
Activating
Security Security is not enabled at application startup. After you set security access
privileges and add users, make sure that security is activated.
1. Select Tools > Setup > Setup from the ribbon.
2. When the Setup form appears, click the Options button.
3. The Options portion of the Setup form is brought to the front.
