6.6 HARD DISC DRIVE (HDD) SETUP

In surveillance applications, typically alarm triggered video and audio is considered more important than

non-event normal video and audio recording. This DVR is designed to allow the hard drive to be partitioned

into an alarm partition and a normal partition. Alarm video and audio will be recorded in alarm partition

and normal video and audio will be recorded in the normal partition.
HDD Setup allows the administrator to format/clear the hard drive, set Alarm Record partition size and Normal

Record partition size, and define the behavior for Alarm Record and Normal Record partion if the hard drive

becomes full.

In the Setup Menu display, press ▲▼◄► on the front panel of the DVR or on the remote to change the

highlighted option to HDD, and then press ENTER to display HDD Setup as shown.
