7. When you complete all the setup, click OK to close the
Alps MD-1300 Properties dialog box.
8. Click OK in the Print dialog box to start printing.
Note
Using multicolor ink cartridges:
•
You may perform color printing with a multicolor ink cartridge
on one cartridge holder plate, and a black ink cartridge on
another.
Please see the “Installing Ink Cartridges” section of this guide
for the details of how to install the ink cartridges.

Multicolor ink cartridges are designed for such uses as print-
ing a small piece of color illustration in the middle of the black
& white printing data, and performing special metallic color
printing together with the metallic ink cartridges. For this
reason, a larger amount of the ribbon is wasted with the
multicolor ink cartridges than with the others. Therefore, us-
ing multicolor ink cartridges can be more costly than using
the regular color ink cartridges.
Printing Operations
