The Java Client
The Java Client is provided to make the CN-5000 accessible to all platforms.
Systems that have Java version 1.4 or higher installed can connect. If you
don’t already have Java, it is available for free download from Sun’s Java
web site (http://java.sun.com).
Starting Up
The Java-based Client software is provided on the distribution CD included
with this package. Copy the Java Client jar file (CN-5000main.jar) to a
convenient location on your hard disk.
To bring up the Java Client Main Screen, do the following:
1. Copy the Java Client jar file (CN5000main.jar) from the CN-5000
software CD to a convenient location on your hard disk.
2. Run CN5000main.jar either by double clicking its icon, or by keying in
the full path to it on the command line.
Note: The Java Client requires Java version 1.4 or higher. It will not
work with earlier versions of Java.
If this is the first time that you are running the program, a dialog box
appears requesting you to input your serial number.
