Comments
Comments can provide valuable reference information about changes
made to your system by Users, or network Events. Depending on your
Comments preference setting, manually entered or preconfigured
Comments appear in the Events window (Event details pane), generated
in Reports, and added during the acknowledgement of alarm
notifications.
To set up preconfigured comments, see “Email & SMS Templates” on
page 49.
To set Comments preference:

On the viewLinc desktop, choose Options | System Configuration |
Preferences.

On the General tab, click in the Comments required on changes
Value field to select an option from the list. Choose whether com-
ments are required on changes; if it is up to the User to enter a
Comment; if they are required, or if only preconfigured comments
are required.

Save your changes (Options |
Save
).
MKT Activation Energy
The default value for MKT Activation Energy is used in Reports and Pop-
up Trends.

On the viewLinc desktop, choose Options | System Configuration |
Preferences
.

On the General tab, select the MKT Activation Energy row, then
click in the Value column to enter a new value.
