On “Memory Stick Duo” (optional)
•Make sure to insert a “Memory Stick Duo” into a “Memory Stick Duo” Adaptor when
using the “Memory Stick Duo” with your camcorder.
•Insert the “Memory Stick Duo” in the correct direction when inserting it into the
“Memory Stick Duo” Adaptor.
•Insert the “Memory Stick Duo” Adaptor in the correct direction when inserting it into
your camcorder. Inserting it in the wrong direction may damage your camcorder.
•Do not insert a “Memory Stick Duo” into a “Memory Stick” compatible unit without
inserting it into a “Memory Stick Duo” Adaptor first. Doing so may cause a
malfunction of the unit.
On “Memory Stick PRO”
“Memory Stick PRO” with a capacity of up to 1 GB is guaranteed to be operational on
this camcorder.
A “Memory Stick” formatted by a computer
A “Memory Stick” formatted by Windows OS or Macintosh OS is not guaranteed to be
compatible with your camcorder.
Notes on image data compatibility
•Image data files recorded on the “Memory Stick” by your camcorder conform with the
Design Rule for Camera File Systems universal standard established by the JEITA
(Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association).
On your camcorder, you cannot play back still images recorded on other equipment
(DCR-TRV890E/TRV900/TRV900E or DSC-D700/D770) that does not conform to this
universal standard. (These models are not sold in some areas.)
•If you cannot use a “Memory Stick” that otherwise can be used with other equipment,
format it with your camcorder (p. 196). Note that formatting will erase all information
on the “Memory Stick.”
•You may not be able to play back images recorded using your camcorder, on other
equipment.
•You may not be able to play back the following images with your camcorder:
– image data modified on a computer
– image data shot with other equipment
•The “Memory Stick,” and “MagicGate Memory Stick” are trademarks of Sony
Corporation.
•“Memory Stick Duo” and are trademarks of Sony Corporation.
•“Memory Stick PRO” and are trademarks of Sony Corporation.
