As an application specific master, the XM-440 has application specific
parameters in addition to the parameters related to the scanlist. Since the
Scanner applet can configure only scanlist parameters, it cannot be used to
configure the XM-440. Instead, the EDS Devices applet is used, as shown
below.
Application specific parameters and some scanlist parameters are included in
the XM-440 EDS file, and the user must configure the scanlist manually.
IMPORTANT
The XM-440 input and output data table mappings are not
included in the EDS file. The XM-440 builds these
mappings itself when it enters Run mode.
