CB-2 Simulation Mode

The CB-2 has a Simulation Mode that is useful for training and/or demonstration purposes. While in Simulation

Mode, the CB-2 executes the same batching logic as in real batching mode, however the weights and meter

pulses are simulated.

10.1 Activating Simulation Mode

Simulation Mode uses Program Scales instead of the standard A/D source scales. Therefore, the only way to

enable Simulation Mode is download a different scale configuration using iRev.
Use the following steps to activate the Simulation Mode on the CB-2.
Open iRev on your PC or laptop and open the file named concrete_x_scale_simulation.920, where x

is 2 for a standard dual scale.

6. Press on the

Connect

icon on the toolbar, or select

Communications->Connect

from the menu.

7. If the connection was successful, select

Communications->Download Configuration

.

8. Check only the

Standard Configuration

box as shown in Figure 10-1.

9. Press the

Begin

button as shown in Figure 10-1.

10. The download should only take a few seconds. When the download is complete, the

Abort

button will be

grayed out.

11. Press the

Close

button.

12. Press the

Save and Exit

softkey on the 920i display.

13. After a few seconds, the 920 will return to Normal Mode and the software version should be displayed,

followed by the text Simulation.

10.2 Running in Simulation Mode

After following the steps in Section 10.1, the Simulation Mode will be enabled. The operation of the menus and

parameters under the Admin Menu will all work the same. To simulate batching, simply prepare and run a load

exactly the same as a real batch. See Section 4.1 for complete description of the parameters that may be changed

to setup Simulation Mode.
