OLD FASHIONED BREAD AND

BUTTER PUDDING

Makes 4 servings

Baking time : 30 minutes

* Remember to preheat oven to 482℉ for 6 minutes before

following recipe cooking temperature.

8 thin slices white bread, crusts removed

4 tablespoons butter

1/2

cup currants or raisins

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons white sugar

2 large eggs

2 cups milk

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 teaspoons brown sugar (for dusting)

STEP ONE

Butter one side of each bread slice. Cut 4 bread slices in half on the

diagonal. Cut remaining four bread slices into quarters. Set aside.

STEP TWO

Line the sides of an oven-proof casserole with the bread halves, butter

side against the dish. Arrange half the remaining bread in the bottom

of the casserole. Sprinkle with half the currants and brown sugar.

Make a second layer with remaining bread, Currants and brown sugar.

Set aside.
