Commands

Commands are configured in the RSLOGIX 5000 as
follows:

• Message Type: CIP Generic
• Service Code 4c (Hex)
• Class Name: 4
• Instance Name: 254
• Object Attribute: None, leave this field blank
• Message source: a tag defining the data sent

to the HI 1756-WS (-2WS).

• Number of elements: defined by the com-

mand used.

• Message destination: a tag where the reply

data will be written.

EXAMPLE

All commands begin with the following fields:

• Command (DINT): The command number

• Channel (DINT): The channel number (must

be 0)

NOTE:

Some commands require additional fields, as speci-
fied in the command.
