The Filter menu is used to set up the SvS2000’s filters — Averaging and the DSP Filter. Additionally, the Filter
menu allows you to monitor the DSP Filter. This chapter provides explanations of each of the filtering functions
and navigation procedures through the menu tree.

71 averagIng

This menu is used to set the number of individual readings (from 1 to 255) the SVS2000 averages for each
display reading while in Run Mode. The SVS2000 calculates a running average. The larger the number of
individual readings in the running average, the smaller effect a variation in signal will have on the average. This
results in fewer variations on the display reading and an easier to read display. Averaging affects the value seen
on the display as well as setpoints, current outputs, and serial outputs. The default value for Averaging is 1.
Follow this procedure to set the

1. If the SVS2000 is in Run Mode, press the ‘7’ Key, ‘1’ Key, and Enter Key to access the menu tree. The
