Operation of graphic equalizer
This unit provides seven factory-preset equalizer curves to allows compensation for the reproduce sound. In addi­
tion it also provides the Al (Artificial intelligence) function as described below to allow listening to different music
sources with optimum tones.
1. AI-AUTO (available only for CD play)
Checks the contents recorded on a CD automatically, and steps the optimum equalizer pattern according to the CD.
2. AI-FOCUS (available only for CD play)
In presence mode: An ASFC value (1-7) and equalizer curve suited to the recorded contents of the disc are set
automatically, creating a live concert atmosphere.
In acoustic mode: An equalizer curve suited to the recorded contents of the disc is set automatically, producing
a natural, expansive sound.
3. Al -LOUDNESS
The low frequencies are enhanced according to the current volume setting. The function is effective when lis­
tening at low volume.
4. Preset pattern mode
Five preset patterns plus "CAR AUDIO" for recording tapes to be played in a car stereo and "HP STEREO" for
recording tapes to be played in a portable headphone player are contained in the system memory.
5. AI-LINK
When a presence mode is selected, optimum equalizer curve for this mode is selected automatically to enhance
the presence effect.
