Appendix I – Important Things to Remember

Enabling/Disabling an entry’s automatic Snapshots and Archives only changes how the
entry is handled while in Automatic Polling Mode. A user can still connect to a dialer
whether these are enabled or disabled. While in Automatic Polling Mode, MicroWIN
2000 will still accept call-ins from the associated dialer.

Dialers that are to be called from MicroWIN 2000 need to be put in Data Answer Mode
(**0581).

In order to accept a call-in from a dialer, MicroWIN must have made at least one call-out
to that dialer.

An S1000 dialer telephone number that is used to call MicroWIN 2000 must have the
telephone escape code *990 at the beginning of it so that MicroWIN will recognize that a
dialer is calling it.

For S1000 firmware v3.0 and above, be sure to disable callback acknowledgment so that
a normal callout to a dialer won’t inadvertently acknowledge dialer callouts. This can be
configured on the System Page of an Entry’s configuration. The touch-tone command to
do so is **0080.

MicroWIN 2000 will accept call-ins only while in Automatic Polling Mode.

If MicroWIN 2000 is used to receive call-ins, it is important to configure each dialer with
a unique System Telephone Number.

All S1000 dialers communicating with MicroWIN 2000 v1.0 must

have at least version 3.0 firmware.

The Most Current Firmware at the Time of this Release is v3.0.
