The telephone line is operational

After dialing the telephone numbers, the system will begin to recite a message
indicating all the alarm conditions which exist. The system will recite the alarm
message the number of times programmed into the Repeat register in the System
Setup phase of operation. The answering person will hear the message repetitions, and
will be required to acknowledge receipt of the alarm message. If a message is
encountered mid-sentence, the user may depress any key except # or * to re-start the
message.

Acknowledgment of the alarm is indicated by depressing the * key on the called
telephone for several seconds. The system will respond to a valid acknowledgment by
saying “Acknowledge accepted, the Snooze Period is XXXX minutes.” The actual
Snooze Period value will be that value programmed into the Snooze Period register
during the System setup phase of operation, or a Channel specific Snooze Period if the
affected channel has been so programmed.

The system will then recite various System Advisory messages such as, “Voice Mail
message is available”, and/or “Enter Access Code”. If a voice mail message has been
programmed, the system will advise that one is present. To access that message or
any other portion of the system’s remote operation procedures, the user must enter a
valid access code. The valid access code is that four digit number programmed into the
access code register during the System Setup phase of operation.

If no access code is entered the system will disconnect and enter the Snooze Period for
the number of minutes specified by the system. If the delay elapses and the alarm
condition still persist, the system will again begin the call sequences. If a new fault
occurs, or any of the current fault conditions return to normal and are programmed as
Call on return to normal (Return), the balance of the Snooze Period will be abandoned
and calls will begin again.

If the system has reached a telephone with no tone dialing capabilities, calling the
system back within 60 seconds will serve as an acknowledgment, sending the system
into the Snooze Period as described above.

If the call results in no answer, busy, or no acknowledgment, the call will be aborted,
and a call will take place to the next telephone number in the list(s), after 60 seconds
plus the period specified in the Call Spacing register during the System Setup phase of
programming.
