Making Intercom Calls
There are two methods for making intercom calls. One method causes the called
telephone to ring (tone-first). The other method causes your voice to sound out at the
called telephone (voice-first). Your installer can set the system to deliver either
tone-first or voice-first calling.
NOTE: The following instructions assume a tone-first setting. You can
change a call to voice announce signaling for that call simply by pressing
the
INTERCOM button again after dialing the extension number or by press-
ing the
DSS/BLF button again.
· To manually cause the other telephone to ring (tone
calling),
1. PRESS
INTERCOM OR LIFT handset if privacy is desired.
(8112N and 8212N users must lift handset.)
2. DIAL extension number (called telephone will ring).
· To tone call automatically,
1. PRESS
DSS/BLF button (called telephone will ring). (8112N and
8212N users must lift handset first.)

· To voice announce manually,
1. PRESS
INTERCOM.
