Do not enable OAM remote loopback function on an RRPP port. Otherwise, this may cause

temporary broadcast storm.

It is recommended that you use the link-delay command to enable link status rapid report

function on an RRPP port by setting the physical state change suppression interval to 0

seconds, thus accelerating topology convergence. For more information about the

link-delay command, see Ethernet Interface Configuration Commands in the Layer 2 - LAN

Switching Command Reference.

Configuring RRPP Nodes

The maximum number of rings that can be configured on a device in all RRPP domains is

16.

z

If a device carries multiple RRPP rings in an RRPP domain, only one ring can be

configured as the primary ring on the device and the role of the device on a subring can

only be an edge node or an assistant-edge node.

Specifying a master node

Perform this configuration on a device to be configured as a master node.
