To connect a fiber port to a peer device through optical fibers (F1000-E):

1.

Remove the dust plug from the fiber port.

2.

Remove the dust cover from the transceiver module, and plug the end without a pull latch into the
SFP port.

3.

Remove the dust cover from the fiber connector.

4.

Identify the Rx and Tx ports. Plug the LC connector at one end of one fiber cable into the Rx port
of the firewall and the LC connector at the other end into the Tx port of the peer device. Plug the
LC connector at one end of another fiber cable into the Tx port of the firewall and the LC

connector at the other end to the Rx port of the peer device.

Connecting an AC power cord

Before connecting an AC power cord, make sure the firewall is properly grounded.
To connect an AC power cord:

1.

Pull the bail latch upwards.

2.

Power off the firewall and connect one end of the AC power cord supplied with the firewall to the
power receptacle on the firewall.

3.

Pull the bail latch downwards to secure the plug to the power receptacle.

4.

Connect the other end of the power cord to an AC power outlet.
