Embedded Digital Audio Mixer

The optional Easysound digital audio mixer (IS-750-Audio6 or IS-750-
Audio16) can be enabled within Imagestore 750 and is designed to add voice-
overs, jingles and other audio inserts over a program soundtrack at
transmission. Easysound can also accept audio from AES/EBU sources, as
well as embedded audio from the Imagestore's background video input. The
mixes are available on AES/EBU outputs and can also be re-embedded into
the SDI program output.

Switching Dolby E Signals

When operating in a progressive video standard (either 720p at50Hz or 720p
at 59.94Hz) and switching Dolby E signals, the Imagestore 750 must be
given an interlaced reference input – (1080i tri-level or SD bi-level analogue
reference) – and the Dolby E data must be aligned to this. This is because
Dolby E data is locked to the interlaced frame.

720p @ 59.94Hz = 59.94 Hz frame rate

1080i @ 59.94Hz = 29.97 Hz frame rate

This applies to all Imagestore 750 units that receive Dolby audio data,
whether or not any Dolby decode/encode options are enabled. Units without
Dolby options enabled are able to cut-switch between Dolby data streams,
with the transition occurring at the mid-point of an AB mix.

Digital Audio Storage

Easyplay options (IS-750-EP2 or IS-750-EP8) allow digital audio storage and
playout for Imagestore 750. With Easyplay, broadcasters can associate
sounds to image files, creating a whole new range of possibilities for musical
logos and sound enhanced captions. Easyplay requires the Easysound option
to be enabled and the system may be networked with the Media Distribution
System.
