rather than just the data.

N

V

erbose mode is a communication mode in which the device r

esponds with mor

e information than it usually would—mor

e than the device, itself, r

equir

es. For example,

the contr

oller can send out unsolicited information (such as notice of a volume or input change or a change in some other setting). That is an example of a verbose (wordy)

relationship between the contr

oller and a connected device. V

erbose mode cr

eates mor

e network traffic than usual, which can slow down network performance.

V

erbose mode is usually enabled for tr

oubleshooting and disabled for daily use.

For

a

connection,

the

contr

oller

is

set

When

Ethernet,

verbose

mode

is

disabled

(by

default)

network.

If you want to use the verbose mode with a contr

oller connected via Ethernet, this mode must be set to “on” each time you r

econnect to the contr

oller

.
