BATTERy PACk (R-5000)
The R-5000 receiver is powered by a high-capacity alkaline battery pack or a Li-ion rechargeable battery pack. See figure below.

Replacing the Battery Pack. R-5000

Twist the battery pack lock counter-clockwise and pull it toward you

1.

Release the lock on the battery pack door by pushing it downward

2.

Grab the battery pack door on the sides and pull it toward you

3.

Remove the old batteries and replace them with new batteries as indicated on the side of the battery pack

4.

Close the battery pack door and activate the lock by pushing it upward

5.

Insert the battery pack

6.

Twist the lock clockwise to secure the battery pack

Replacing the Battery Pack. T-5000

Twist the battery pack locks counter-clockwise and pull it toward you

Remove the old batteries and replace them with new batteries as indicated on the top of the battery pack

Insert the battery pack

3.

Twist the pad locks clockwise to secure the battery pack

4.

Recharging the Battery (Li-Ion)
The battery pack Li-Ion can be recharged while seated inside the receiver body.
To recharge the battery pack:

Make sure recharging of the receiver battery occurs at room temperature. Charging the battery at low and high ambient

temperature will affect how many charge cycles the battery can withstand and might cause other battery damage.

Excess heat can damage batteries, causing a rupture or ignition. do not place batteries near fire, heat, or in direct sunshine.

Attach the battery charger plug to the charging jack of the Li-ion battery pack.

Plug the power supply into the electrical outlet.

3.

The recharging time for a fully discharged battery pack is approximately 8 hrs.

The battery pack can also be recharged via the 12VDC vehicle adapter.
