8.1. Ethernet Drivers
The OPEN (660) is equipped with a high performance
10/100 Base-T fast Ethernet interface. It provides a low
cost solution to implement a PCI networking interface to
automatically sense the network speed. It is designed to
optimize the 32-bit master PCI bus and giving maximum
throughput for the high bandwidth networking
applications.
8.1.1. Features
1. Complies with IEEE 802.3u 100-Base-TX and 802.3
10-Base-T standards
2. Supports 32-bit PCI local bus-master for high
throughput and low processor utilization
3. Supports full-duplex for both 100Mbps and 10Mbps
and Nway auto negotiation for auto speed selection
4. Automatic twisted-pair receives polarity detection and
correction of the receive polarity
5. Provides compressive set of software driver suitable
for the major network applications such as Novell
Netware, TCP/IP, Microsoft Windows and Windows NT.
