Retrieving the Scan Station
transaction log file The Retrieve Transaction Logs option allows you to save the
transaction log file retrieved from the selected Scan Station. The
transaction log file extension is .xml. The transaction log file contains
actual Scan Station transactions (i.e., destinations, time of transaction,
recipient, sender, status of the transaction, number of pages scanned).
Two methods are available for saving log files:
Method 1. Using the KSS500 - Scanner Admin application. This
information is described below. The preferred method is using the
KSS500 - Scanner Admin application.
Method 2. Using a USB flash drive. See Chapter 8, “Saving error log
files” for more information.
Method 1 1. Select the Scan Station that you want to save a log file for.
2. Select Scanner>Device>Retrieve Transaction Logs. The
transaction log file for the selected Scan Station will be displayed.
3. Click Save. The Save As dialog box will be displayed.
4. Enter a file name and click Save.
