÷ If user file names have already been registered, their

÷ If the RANDOM button is pressed in this step,

random playback will start.
(Note that random playback is not available with
DVD-VIDEO discs.)

÷ If repeat playback is required, press the REPEAT

button.

6-3-2 Playing the user file

(USER FILE PLAY mode)

Operation procedure

1.

Check that the unit is in the normal play TRACK
mode.

¤

÷ Make sure that the disc door is closed.

2.

Press the MODE button.
÷ When the MODE button is pressed during USER

FILE PLAY mode, the USER FILE PLAY mode is
cancelled.

3.

Press the DISC + (up), (down) button to select
USER FILE”, then press the SET button.

4.

Press the DISC + (up), (down) button to select
U.FILE PLAY”, then press the SET button.

5.

Press the DISC + (up)/ (down) button to select a
user file number (1 to 8) and press the SET button.

6-3-3 To clear the user file

(USER FILE CLEAR mode)

The following procedure clears the registration of one
disc in the user files.

Operation procedure

1.

Check that the unit is in the normal play TRACK
mode.

÷ Make sure that the disc door is closed.

2.

Press the MODE button.
÷ When the MODE button is pressed during USER

FILE CLEAR mode, the USER FILE CLEAR mode is
cancelled.

3.

Press the DISC + (up), (down) button to select
USER FILE”, then press the SET button.

4.

Press the DISC + (up), (down) button to select
U.FILE CLEAR”, then press the SET button.

5.

Press the DISC + (up)/ (down) button to select a
user file number (1 to 8) and press the SET button.

÷ If user file names have already been registered, their

names are displayed.

Press the DISC + (up)/(down) button to select the
disc to be cleared, and press the SET button.
÷ Repeat step 6 as required.
÷ When the registration of all "User File" is deleted,

"NO ENTRY" will be displayed.

7.

Press the MODE button to complete this operation.

6-3-4 To initialize the user file

(USER FILE INIT. mode)

The following procedure clears the registration of all discs
in the user files and the user file names. The user file
names return the default names after clear.

Operation procedure

1.

Check that the unit is in the normal play TRACK
mode.

¤

÷ Make sure that the disc door is closed.

2.

Press the MODE button.
÷ When the MODE button is pressed during USER

FILE INIT. mode, the USER FILE INIT. mode is
cancelled.

3.

Press the DISC + (up), (down) button to select
USER FILE”, then press the SET button.

÷ To view the discs registered in a “user file”, press

the CHECK button. Each press of the CHECK
button will display the next disc registered in the
user file.

÷ To clear a disc from registration in a “user file”,

play the disc to be registered and press the CLEAR
button during playback.

To exit from MUSIC TYPE PLAY mode

Press the MODE button.
