Chapter 6 : Specifying and Using Disc or Track Data

C : Searching the user file
(USER FILE SEARCH mode)
The discs registered in the or specified user file can be
searched in sequence.
÷ Check that the unit is in the normal play TRACK
mode.

÷ Register user file.

Operation procedure
1.
Press the MODE button.
÷ When the MODE button is pressed during USER
FILE SEARCH mode, the USER FILE SEARCH mode
is cancelled.
2.
Press the DISC + (up), – (down) button to select
“DISC SEARCH”, then press the SET button.
3.
Press the DISC + (up), – (down) button to select
“USER FILE”, then press the SET button.
4.
Press the DISC + (up), – (down) button to select the
user file to be searched.
÷ If user file names have already been registered, their
names are displayed in place of the above.

÷ When daisy chain connection is set, the set changer
units can be switched using the MAIN, SUB 1 and
SUB 2 buttons.
5.
Press the SET button.
6.
Select one of the following operations for the search
target disc.
To search the next disc
Press the DISC + (up), – (down) button.
To play the searched disc
Press the SET button or the
3 button.
To eject the searched disc
Press the
0 EJECT button.

(CHARACTER SEARCH mode)
By inputting the initial letter of the desired disc title or
artist name, discs which have the disc titles or the artist
name beginning with that character can be searched in
sequence.
÷ Check that the unit is in the normal play TRACK
mode.

÷ Input the title.

(Enter stop mode before proceeding.)
1.
Press the LIBRARY button.
÷ When the LIBRARY button is pressed during
CHARACTER SEARCH mode, the CHARACTER
SEARCH mode is cancelled.
2.
Press the cursor up/down button to select “Charac-
ter Search”, then press the ENTER button.

Disc search using the OSD allows the disc title or artist
name characters of the target disc to be specified.

Disc search can be activated using the buttons on
the main unit.

Operation procedure
1.
Set the player to stop mode.
2.
Press the USER FILE button.
3.
Turn the DISC knob to select the “User File”
to be searched.
4.
Press the SET button.
