Sharpness: “Sharpness” is the amount of high-frequency detail in the image. To adjust
sharpness, select Sharpness from the Picture Adjust menu and press ENTER. On your
external test pattern source, select a pattern like the one shown in Figure 4-5. Adjust as
needed, looking for white edges around the transitions from black to gray and
differently-sized lines in the “sweep” patterns at the top and bottom. Lower the sharpness
setting to eliminate them.

Color Temperature: The Vision 65/75 has five memory settings for Color Temperature:

• 5400 kelvins

• 6500 kelvins

• 9300 kelvins

• Custom 1

• Custom 2

Custom 1 and Custom 2 are installer-adjustable and can be used to create custom settings.
There are six (6) adjustable “white balance” parameters available for the Custom 1 and
Custom 2 settings (two each for red, green and blue). These are described later in this
section; refer to White Balance on page 59.

Reset to Defaults: To reset all picture quality settings for the current input to their
factory-default values, select Reset to Defaults from the Picture Adjust menu.
