10 Position and sequence of cuts
10.1 Planning the cuts
Determining the removal direction
Removal of the cut section must be possible
without any hazards. Ensure that these
sections do not fall over the cordoned area.
It may be necessary to make conical cuts to
enable simple removal of the section from the
opening.
Take the statics of the building into account
Wire sawing work must often be performed
under difficult conditions. The resulting loose
concrete sections are very heavy. For this
reason wire sawing work must be performed in
close collaboration with statics experts.
Rounding the walls
The wire should not be routed over very sharp
edges. Such edges must be rounded to a
minimum value of R=10 cm prior to cutting.
