11 Connecting the SK-B
Initial start-up
The SK-B is ready for operation when
delivered. The instructions in the section
"Preparatory work" also apply for the initial
start-up of a new machine.
Preparatory work
Always proceed as follows:
l Determine the basic conditions
l Secure the site
l Determine the position and sequence of the
drilled holes and cuts see “Correct cutting
direction” on page 21.
l Perform inspection work
l Cover sharp-edged friction areas (hoses
and cables)
Visual inspection

11.1 Connecting the main and feed
circuits
Refer to the operating manual of the power
unit employed.
Make sure that you are
positioned at a sufficient distance
from the unit and not in the "line
of fire" of the wire. If the wire
breaks, you will then be more
effectively protected.
