12.3 Avoiding non-circular wear

Turn the wire

In order to prevent non-circular wear of the

diamond beads, both wire types must be

turned before connection in an anti-clockwise

direction.

The steel wire must be absolutely free from
plastic residues before pressing. The wire
would otherwise be torn out of the pressing.

Caution, danger of cuts: When
using the knife, make sure to cut
away from your hand.

Separating with other tools is not
recommended as the ends of the wire are
not precisely cut at the correct angle.

With short wire contact lengths special care
must be taken, as non-circular wear of the
wire is particularly easy with such
applications.
Do not exert excessive tension on the wire!
