show snmp

Display the SNMP configuration settings for the VC domain.

Syntax

show snmp [Type]

Parameter

Type (optional)

Indicates the type of SNMP configuration to display. If the type is not specified, all
VC SNMP configuration information appears. Valid values include "Enet" and
"FC".

Examples

->show snmp Enet

Displays SNMP configuration for VC-Enet modules only

->show snmp FC

Displays SNMP configuration for VC-FC modules only

->show snmp

Displays SNMP configuration for all modules

Manage SNMP trap information.

Description

add snmp-trap

Adds a new SNMP trap destination.
Avoid using duplicate trap destinations. Setting duplicate trap destinations can
result in duplicate traps being sent to the same destination, or only one of the trap

destinations being configured.

Syntax

add snmp-trap <Name> Address=<IPv4Address|DNSname>

[Community=<community name

string>][Format=<SNMPv1|SNMPv2>][Severity=<trap

severity|All|None>][DomainCategories=<domain trap

category|All|None>][EnetCategories=<enet trap

category|All|None>][FcCategories=<fc trap

category|All|None>]

Parameter

Name (required)

A unique name for the new trap being added

Properties

Address (required) IPv4 address or DNS name for the trap destination
Community (optional) The SNMP community name string for the specified trap. If not specified, the default

value is "public". For VC-Enet modules, the maximum string length is 39. For VC-FC

modules, the maximum string length is 24.

Format

Format of the new trap. Valid values are "SNMPv1" and "SNMPv2". If not

specified, the default is "SNMPv1".

Severities

Trap severities to send to the destination. Valid values are "Normal", "Unknown",
"Info", "Warning", "Minor", "Major", "Critical", "All", and "None". Multiple
