Putting the Camera on Standby

Preparation

Set [QUICK START] to [ON].
1. Turn the camera off.

Close the LCD monitor or slide the POWER switch to turn the camera
off (

p.13).

Because [QUICK START] is set to [ON], the camera switches to

standby mode rather than shutting down.

Starting Up with Quick Start

Preparation

Standby mode
1. Start up the camera.

You can start up the camera in any of the ways shown below.

MEMO

After approximately 20 minutes in standby mode, the camera

automatically turns off. Once this happens, quick start is no longer

enabled.
To turn the camera off completely rather than switching to standby

mode, or to turn the camera off when it is already in standby mode,

slide and hold the POWER switch for approximately 2 seconds.

• Open the LCD monitor.

• Slide the POWER switch.

• Press the REC

button.

• Press the REC

button.

(Video recording begins after the

camera starts up.)
