Setting Wide-angle Zoom

Selecting [STAGE] as the scene setting allows you to specify the widest

available wide-angle setting so that the camera cannot be zoomed out any

further.
This is ideal for shooting on-stage performances, such as school plays,

from a seat in the audience.

1. Select [STAGE] in the scene settings.
2. Select [CREATE NEW].

Move the OK ( ) button down to select [CREATE NEW] and then
press the OK ( ) button.
Select [USE EXISTING DATA] to load settings stored previously.

You cannot specify scene settings while shooting video.
The explanations for the different scenes are only intended as a

general guide. Select the scene setting that works best for you.
You can restrict zoom operation to a specified wide-angle setting by
selecting [STAGE] in the scene setting (

p.57).

Setting the camera to Auto mode selects [AUTO] as the scene setting.
