You can use the Strip Silence function to automatically remove silent passages from audio
regions. The basic premise of the Strip Silence process is simple: all amplitude values
below a threshold value are interpreted as silence, and removed. New regions are created
from the remaining passages. This process takes place in the Strip Silence window.

Opening the Strip Silence Window

There are several ways to open the Strip Silence window in Logic Pro.

To open the Strip Silence window from the Arrange area

Select an audio region.

Choose Audio > Strip Silence (or use the Strip Silence key command, default
assignment: Control-X).

To open the Strip Silence window from the Audio Bin window
